"New International Health Regulations Raise Concerns Over Threats to Liberal Democracies and National Sovereignty"

New international health regulations imposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) have been highlighted as potential threats to the values of liberal Western democracies and the sovereignty of nation states.

The unchecked influence and control of the WHO over people's daily lives and the information they receive raises questions about the organization's leadership legitimacy.

Additional concerns include the organization's susceptibility to external influences, particularly from wealthy entities, and its lack of transparency and accountability in health decision-making.

The proposed global pandemic treaty and amendments to international health regulations could compromise national sovereignty and democracy, potentially granting the WHO unrestricted power to declare and control public health emergencies.

To prevent this power imbalance, elected representatives are called to defend their nations' sovereignty and their constituents' rights.

As a measure to voice these concerns, a parliamentary petition is being circulated in the UK with a target of 100,000 signatures, with 81,000 still needed.
